Archer is building the future at Hawthorne Airport following its announced acquisition, with plans for the historic site to serve as the operational hub for its Los Angeles air taxi network.

The airport is located less than three miles from LAX and is the closest airport to major destinations including SoFi Stadium, The Forum, Intuit Dome, and Downtown Los Angeles. Hawthorne Airport will serve as a test bed for the AI-powered aviation technologies Archer is developing and plans to deploy with its airline and technology partners.

Originally built in the 1920s to attract Jack Northrup to establish his company there, Hawthorne Airport later became a military asset. During World War II, it was used by the U.S. Army to manufacture and modify aircraft including the P-61 Black.
