UTES2026 – Unmanned Technologies for Earth and Space 2026 will take place at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 26–27 October 2026.
The two-day symposium will bring together specialists from industry, academia, government, research, and the wider innovation ecosystem to examine the growing connection between terrestrial unmanned systems and future space technologies.
The event will explore how technologies supporting uncrewed aviation, advanced air mobility, autonomous mobility, and planetary exploration increasingly share common engineering challenges, including autonomous decision-making, remote operations, traffic management, safety, resilience, and systems integration.
UTES2026 will take place on 26–27 October 2026 at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
UTES2026 will examine the convergence between unmanned technologies used on Earth and those being developed for future space missions.
Key themes will include advanced air mobility, uncrewed aviation, unmanned traffic management, autonomous systems, space technologies, remote operations, artificial intelligence, and resilient mission capabilities.
The first day will focus on unmanned aviation, advanced air mobility, and terrestrial autonomous systems. Sessions are expected to cover uncrewed aviation concepts, U-space, unmanned traffic management, airspace integration, regulation, operational safety, digital infrastructure, industrial applications, research projects, and technology demonstrations.
The second day will explore how autonomous and remotely operated technologies can support future space missions. Topics will include satellite systems, Earth observation, remote sensing, space-enabled data services, robotic systems for planetary surface operations, artificial intelligence, autonomous decision-making, remote mission control, and resilient operations.
UTES2026 will feature a two-day symposium programme covering terrestrial and space-based unmanned technologies.
The event will include expert sessions, discussions, and opportunities to explore technology developments across industry, academia, government, and research.
An accompanying exhibition will run throughout both days, allowing companies, start-ups, SMEs, and research groups to present technologies, conduct physical demonstrations, and engage with industry stakeholders, researchers, public authorities, investors, and potential partners.
Attendance, exhibiting, and speaker participation will be offered free of charge.
