AERO Friedrichshafen 2027 will take place from April 14–17, 2027 at Messe Friedrichshafen in Germany. The event is recognized as a leading international trade fair for general aviation, business aviation, and air sports, bringing together exhibitors, aviation professionals, pilots, manufacturers, and industry stakeholders from around the world.
The exhibition will showcase the full spectrum of general aviation across 12 exhibition halls and static displays, including gliders, ultralights, piston aircraft, helicopters, business aviation aircraft, and emerging aviation technologies. More than 860 exhibitors from over 50 countries are expected to participate, with around 37,000 visitors attending the previous edition.
AERO also serves as a platform for developments in advanced air mobility and next-generation aviation technologies, including hydrogen propulsion, electric flight systems, digital aviation solutions, and new aircraft concepts.

Themes at AERO Friedrichshafen 2027 include general aviation, business aviation, air sports, sustainable aviation technologies, digital aviation solutions, pilot services, avionics, training aircraft, and advanced propulsion systems.
The exhibition will feature aircraft ranging from civilian drones and gliders to gyrocopters, helicopters, turboprop aircraft, training aircraft, and business jets. Electric flight technologies, hydrogen propulsion systems, and emerging aircraft programs will also be highlighted throughout the event.
AERO Friedrichshafen 2027 will feature aircraft displays, exhibitor showcases, conferences, networking opportunities, and aviation-focused presentations across the exhibition grounds.
More than 300 conferences are expected to take place during the event, covering industry developments, sustainability, digital transformation, procurement, pilot services, and aviation technology advancements.
The 2027 edition will also introduce an expanded exhibition layout. The AERO Gliding Expo will return as part of the event, bringing together glider manufacturers and suppliers alongside the broader general aviation community.
Helicopter exhibitors will be positioned closer to business aviation and flight schools in Hall A2, while ultralight helicopters and LSA aircraft manufacturers will be showcased throughout the B halls. Single- and twin-engine aircraft manufacturers will occupy halls A3–A6.
Hall A7 will focus on start-ups, electric propulsion technologies, hydrogen-powered aviation systems, and new aircraft concepts, highlighting developments shaping the future of aviation.
The Messe Friedrichshafen venue includes direct airport access, its own taxiway, large hangar doors, an outdoor static display area, and a temporary helipad to support aircraft operations during the exhibition.
The event will include conference sessions and presentations from aviation industry professionals, manufacturers, technology developers, and business aviation stakeholders. Topics are expected to cover sustainability, electric aviation, hydrogen propulsion, avionics, pilot training, and future aircraft development programs.
