America’s Consortium for Electric Skyways (ACES) has announced plans to expand interoperable electric aviation charging infrastructure across Texas airports, FBOs, and key regional hubs to support state air taxi operations under the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).
Launched by Archer, BETA, and Macquarie Capital, ACES aims to electrify up to 250 air taxi sites across America’s largest airports and metro areas over the next decade. Designed for industry-wide operations, ACES plans to build a shared infrastructure model where multiple operators and use cases run on the same chargers, establishing a unified network built on open standards rather than fragmented, competing proprietary systems.
With all-electric air taxi flights planned in Texas in the coming months by Archer, BETA, and other OEMs, ACES will collaborate with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) alongside state and local partners to identify operational routes and deploy necessary infrastructure. TxDOT has highlighted plans for regional test flights connecting the Texas Triangle, encompassing Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, as well as rural communities, extending regional reach via expanding city networks.

In parallel with infrastructure planning, Archer recently launched its ‘No Roads’ flight tour, expanding the city-to-city flight test program for its all-electric Midnight air taxi across the United States in close coordination with the FAA. These flight tests lay the groundwork for Archer to conduct eIPP operations across Texas, Florida, and New York, while preparing for Midnight operations in the Los Angeles area later this year ahead of Archer serving as the Official Air Taxi Provider of the LA28 Games.
