At Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Eve Air Mobility showcased the future of urban air mobility with its full-scale Eve 100 eVTOL mock-up, giving visitors a first-hand look at the company’s vision for sustainable, quiet and accessible air transportation.
The exhibition marked the unveiling of Eve 100 as the commercial name for the company’s eVTOL aircraft, with visitors able to experience the aircraft through an immersive flight simulator and explore how supporting solutions including Eve TechCare and Eve Vector will contribute to future operations.
Rather than focusing solely on aircraft development, Eve’s presence at Farnborough highlighted the wider ecosystem required to enable advanced air mobility. From passenger experience and aircraft servicing to operational management, the company is positioning its eVTOL platform as part of an integrated approach to future urban transportation.
Designed as a fully electric aircraft, Eve 100 incorporates a human-centred design philosophy focused on passenger comfort, pilot safety and community acceptance. The aircraft will initially operate with a pilot onboard, while its architecture has been developed with future uncrewed operations in mind.
One of the most distinctive elements of the Eve 100 design is its eight-rotor configuration. According to Eve, the multi-rotor approach has been selected primarily to enhance safety, providing greater robustness and the ability to manage a range of operational conditions.
The aircraft also features a lift plus cruise configuration, combining dedicated rotors for vertical flight with fixed wings and separate propulsion for forward cruise. By avoiding complex moving components during flight transitions, the design aims to improve efficiency, reliability and certification readiness.
With a targeted range of approximately 60 miles (100 km), Eve 100 is being developed to support sustainable urban mobility missions while reducing noise impacts compared with conventional aviation. The aircraft’s design enables significant noise reduction during cruise, helping address one of the key challenges associated with integrating eVTOL operations into urban environments.
Through its 2026 Farnborough Airshow presence, Eve demonstrated that the development of advanced air mobility is moving beyond aircraft concepts alone. By showcasing the Eve 100 alongside its operational ecosystem, the company highlighted the infrastructure, services and technology required to bring commercial eVTOL operations closer to reality.
