SASMOS HET Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The ePlane Company (Ubifly Technologies Private Limited) to support Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) development for the e200X electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, the agreement will see SASMOS provide EWIS engineering and industrialisation expertise for the programme. The companies intend to collaborate on harness architecture, EWIS engineering, design for manufacturability, prototype evaluation and certification readiness.
The agreement also establishes a framework for exploring broader value-chain opportunities across mission-critical electrical and interconnect systems as the e200X progresses from development toward industrialisation and potential serial production.
Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems form the network that distributes power and data between propulsion, avionics, flight controls and other onboard systems. For electric aircraft, optimised EWIS architecture can help reduce weight, improve reliability and support certification.
The e200X is being developed by The ePlane Company as a modular platform intended for passenger transport, air ambulance and cargo operations. The partnership forms part of the company’s effort to build a supplier base covering electrical systems, avionics, composites, fasteners and interiors.
SASMOS HET Technologies supplies EWIS, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies and related solutions for aerospace, defence, space and other sectors. Based in India, the company provides engineering, design, manufacturing, testing and industrialisation services.
