Vertical Aerospace has appointed high-performance transparency specialist Isoclima S.p.A. as a strategic supplier for the Valo certification aircraft.

Vertical Aerospace Selects Isoclima as Transparency Partner for Valo eVTOL

The long-term partnership tasks Isoclima with the design and manufacture of the full transparency suite, which includes pilot and passenger canopies alongside advanced glazing systems. This collaboration is designed to ensure supply stability and technical continuity as Vertical Aerospace progresses through the certification and production phases of the Valo program.

Isoclima joins an established core supply chain for the aircraft that already includes industry leaders such as Honeywell, Aciturri, Evolito, and Syensqo. By engaging with a proven aerospace partner early in the development cycle, Vertical aims to protect its certification timelines and mitigate program risks associated with critical components.

Aircraft transparencies are vital for certification, as they must meet rigorous standards for structural loads, bird-strike resistance, and environmental stress while maintaining optical clarity. Isoclima provides vertically integrated capabilities to meet these demands, including advanced modeling and in-house testing facilities. The company’s experience extends beyond aerospace into other safety-critical sectors, including high-speed rail, defense, and high-end automotive industries.

Stuart Simpson, CEO at Vertical Aerospace, commented, “Delivering Valo requires world-class partners with deep certification expertise and proven manufacturing capability. Isoclima brings both. This partnership strengthens our supply chain and supports our path to bringing a certifiable, scalable aircraft to market.”

The agreement is intended to support the program from the initial development of the certification aircraft through to full industrial-scale production. Isoclima’s history of supplying certified glazing systems to global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) provides the necessary infrastructure to scale alongside Vertical’s commercial ambitions.

Liviana Forza, CEO at Isoclima, added, “We are proud to partner with Vertical Aerospace on the Valo programme. This collaboration reflects our commitment to enabling next-generation mobility through advanced, certified transparencies. Leveraging our aerospace heritage and cross-sector innovation capabilities, we are well positioned to support Valo from development through certification and into industrial scale production.”
