Speedbird Aero and Moya Aero have entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a strategic collaboration focused on next-generation aerial mobility and logistics solutions.

The agreement establishes a framework for the two companies to evaluate operational synergies and technology integration while maintaining their respective independence. By combining Moya’s large-capacity tilt-body eVTOL aircraft with Speedbird’s certified Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operational expertise and software, the partners aim to accelerate the deployment of advanced aerial logistics.

The collaboration will prioritize identifying opportunities for interoperability between aircraft systems and command-and-control platforms. Furthermore, the companies intend to explore coordinated go-to-market strategies and joint access to innovation programs, grants, and industry forums. This exploratory phase allows for the evaluation of an integrated fleet offering that scales from small drones to heavy-lift aircraft, with a product range spanning from under 25kg to 600kg in Maximum Take-Off Weight.

Manoel Coelho, CEO of Speedbird Aero, said, “This exploratory collaboration would allow us to continue to focus on our core delivery missions and capabilities, while looking at expanding the range of solutions we can potentially offer to customers—sharing operational commonality in a way that is unprecedented in the drone industry.”

Alexandre Zaramela, CEO of Moya Aero, said, “This MoU allows us to explore how our large capacity eVTOL platform can complement Speedbird’s real-world BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operational expertise and software ecosystem. Together, we can accelerate and de-risk the deployment of a growing portfolio of advanced aerial logistics solutions.”

Initial efforts will focus on opportunities within the Americas, with the potential for future evaluations in European and Asian markets. Both companies have been active in shaping the Advanced Air Mobility sector, and this agreement reflects a shared strategy of using complementary technologies to build the future of aerial freight.

Andre Stein Board Director and President, Americas, at Speedbird and Moya, added, “This agreement reflects a shared belief that the future of aerial logistics will be built through collaboration across complementary technologies and capabilities. Moya and Speedbird are true pioneers in Advanced Air Mobility, having helped shape this next chapter in aviation history.”
