Skyportz has introduced its Aeroberm™ vertipad to the Middle East market at the Dubai Airshow, offering the property industry a way to participate in the growing Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector.

The company is addressing the need for a dense network of new take-off and landing sites beyond traditional airports and heliports as global aviation leaders, manufacturers, and government agencies accelerate the rollout of electric air taxi operations.

The Aeroberm is a patented modular vertipad system engineered to enable rooftops, carparks, industrial sites, hotels, mixed-use precincts, tourism assets, and private properties to join the aviation network affordably and safely.

Skyportz CEO Clem Newton-Brown stated, “There is enormous momentum in the AAM space in the Middle East, with the big players pushing forward with aircraft, certification and operations. But this industry cannot scale without thousands of new landing sites. The property industry is the missing piece of the puzzle, and the Aeroberm finally gives them a safe, compliant, and affordable way to join the aviation sector.

“The property sector will now be able to deliver the multitude of destinations needed for a truly functional AAM network, and that Aeroberm is the enabling technology to make that possible.

“The Aeroberm can offer property owners an affordable “plug-and-play” vertipad solution, providing aviation companies with the urgent landing infrastructure they require.”

The Aeroberm system is designed to solve three primary barriers that have historically prevented new urban vertipad approvals. First, its unique patented surfaces are designed to diffuse and redirect air taxi downwash, which protects pedestrians, vehicles, and surrounding structures, potentially allowing property footprints to be safely reduced. Second, the system is intended to reduce noise signatures, which is critical for community acceptance and regulatory compliance, by breaking up rotor vortices. Third, the modular design incorporates a battery fire solution to immediately halt thermal runaway, which is critical for safety and property protection.

This combination of features positions the Aeroberm as a practical solution for establishing a fine-grained network of air taxi destinations across dense urban environments. Skyportz has been demonstrating the Aeroberm throughout the Dubai Airshow, Stand V29.
