The ePlane Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global aviation software provider Ramco Systems to utilize Ramco Aviation Software for the full lifecycle management of its e200X eVTOL aircraft.

The ePlane Company, known as Ubifly Technologies Private Limited, is a pioneering startup focused on revolutionizing urban mobility with its e200X model, which is intended for use as an air taxi, air ambulance, and air cargo vehicle. This strategic partnership aims to establish a strong digital foundation that can grow alongside ePlane’s operational expansion.

Ramco and ePlane will work together to implement the Ramco Aviation Software in phases. This phased approach will align with the e200X’s progression through necessary certification and regulatory approvals, moving toward manufacturing and eventual commercial service.

Under the agreement, ePlane will gain access to Ramco Aviation Software’s extensive suite of modules. These capabilities may be leveraged throughout the e200X’s lifecycle and include Engineering & CAMO, Maintenance, Supply Chain, MRO & Part Sales, Flight Operations, Safety, Quality and Compliance, Manufacturing, Employee Management, and Finance & Accounting.

Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, Founder of The ePlane Company, said, “Developing India’s first flying electric taxi demands not only engineering excellence but also a technology partner who understands the nuances of the aviation industry.

“Ramco Systems’ platform equips us to manage complexity across engineering, operations, and compliance, while remaining agile and future-ready. This MoU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership that will help us stay ahead of the curve as we move toward manufacturing and commercial readiness.”

Sam Jacob, EVP & Head- Aviation, Aerospace & Defense at Ramco Systems, commented on the evolving landscape of transportation, adding, “Electric air mobility is no longer a distant concept, but rapidly becoming a reality. As the world moves to decarbonize transportation, aviation must evolve. The ePlane Company’s vision to turn urban gridlock into a ten-minute flight using compact electric aircraft is a bold and timely step in that direction.”

He concluded, “Ramco is proud to support this initiative with a platform that will offer the agility, compliance, and operational depth needed to scale. This partnership reflects our belief in empowering innovation with proven technology.”
