UrbanV has partnered with Speedbird Aero to accelerate the deployment of drone delivery and integrated advanced air mobility (AAM) services across Italy.

This collaboration brings together UrbanV’s deep expertise in developing and managing vertiport ecosystems with Speedbird Aero’s autonomous drone technologies. Together, the companies will establish a robust and sustainable framework to support the next generation of aerial logistics and passenger services.

UrbanV will incorporate Speedbird’s drone logistics systems into its current and planned vertiport sites, enabling seamless real-time coordination, route management, and fleet oversight.

The partnership will prioritize eco-friendly operations using zero-emission electric drones and intelligent route optimization to reduce carbon impact and promote cleaner urban airspaces.

“We are excited to join forces with Speedbird Aero, a globally recognized leader in drone logistics. This partnership represents a significant step forward in bringing cutting-edge aerial services and drone delivery solutions to Italy.” Carlo Tursi, CEO of UrbanV, commented, “At UrbanV, we have consistently demonstrated our ability to enable drone operations in complex environments by leveraging our unique expertise. We see enormous potential to apply these innovations across a range of sectors, and we are committed to playing a leading role in shaping the future of advanced air mobility.”

Manoel Coelho, CEO and Co-Founder of Speedbird Aero, added, “Collaborating with UrbanV enables the expansion of these innovations to a broader market, enabling the construction of necessary infrastructure to realize the potential of these solutions, and generating concrete advantages for urban areas, commercial enterprises, and residents throughout Italy.”

With the first pilot site currently under review, the companies are poised to launch initial operations later in 2025. Initial drone delivery and air mobility pilots are set to begin this year at strategic locations in Italy. These initiatives aim to demonstrate scalable, real-world applications of urban drone transport.
