Jetson recently launched an initiative with eVTOL test flights conducted around custom-built pylons, an effort that has since evolved into the Jetson ONE Race.
Held in Tuscany, the event was observed by team members as the race began with aircraft lifting off, maneuvering into position, and navigating the designated course.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Stéphan D’haene, was the first to cross the final marker, winning by a narrow margin in what was described as a collegial competition. A follow-up race has reportedly been requested.
Beyond the competitive element, the event emphasized camaraderie, underpinned by strong trust in both the aircraft and the team. Despite some lighthearted post-race interactions, the primary objective remained a shared flight demonstration aimed at showcasing the operational precision and capabilities of the Jetson ONE.
This event marks a notable development, offering insight into the future of personal aviation and laying a preliminary foundation for a new sport.
