The Vector AI from Quantum Systems was introduced at the AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition 2025, highlighting the features of its AI-driven, extended-endurance eVTOL sUAS.

The Vector AI is engineered to support frontline teams operating in contested and dynamic environments. It offers advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, with autonomous mission execution, electronic warfare (EW) resilience, and AI-powered real-time situational awareness. These capabilities provide operational forces with a decisive intelligence edge during high-tempo operations.

Vector AI in Air Mobility and Defense

Tailored for maneuver units conducting reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition (RSTA) missions, the Vector AI introduces significant enhancements compared to previous generation sUAS models:

  • Resilient Against GPS and Communication Denial – With Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) and Silvus Technologies’ Spectrum Dominance capabilities, Vector AI ensures reliable navigation and command and control in contested settings, strengthening operational resilience and mission success even in GPS and communications-denied zones.
  • Flexible Mission Design with Modular Payload Integration – The platform is MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach) compatible, featuring an enhanced, Ethernet-based, open architecture payload bay that allows seamless integration of third-party ISR, SIGINT, and EW sensors. This provides rapid mission adaptation and future scalability.
  • Autonomous, AI-Driven ISR – Powered by dual NVIDIA Jetson Orin processors, Vector AI enables real-time object recognition, automated target tracking, and adaptive mission management. This reduces operator load while boosting mission effectiveness.
  • Seamless Multi-Domain Interopeability – Fully compatible with ATAK (Android Tactical Assault Kit), Cursor-on-Target (CoT), and leading battlefield management systems (BMS), the Vector AI ensures immediate situational awareness and synchronized targeting across joint and coalition forces.
  • Extended Endurance for Longer Operations – Featuring a reengineered eVTOL power system and advanced energy management, the Vector AI supports over three hours of continuous flight. This offers sustained ISR coverage with fewer system swaps, ensuring operators remain mission-focused.

Built for rapid deployment and consistent operations in austere environments, the Vector AI provides AI-powered ISR at the tactical edge. Its compact, lightweight airframe enables easy transport and deployment, while its enhanced autonomy allows operators to focus more on mission objectives rather than system management.

Sven Kruck, Co-CEO at Quantum-Systems GmbH, said, “This platform is designed to meet the evolving needs of allied forces for software defined defense. It delivers advanced ISR capabilities in the most challenging battlespaces. Its interoperability and seamless battlefield integration provide a decisive advantage to forward-deployed military units and operational superiority during complex missions.”

Dave Sharpin, CEO of Quantum-Systems Inc., also commented, “Vector has already proven itself in global military operations, and this latest iteration builds upon those battlefield insights to deliver the most capable midrange eVTOL sUAS available today. With extended endurance, AI-driven mission autonomy, and modular, MOSA-compliant design Vector AI provides unmatched flexibility and adaptability for modern military forces operating in dynamic and contested environments.”
