LYTE Aviation, developer of a 40-seat hybrid hydrogen eVTOL, has formed a strategic partnership with LYNEports and Bluenest by Globalvia to advance vertiport infrastructure in the Middle East.

This collaboration continues LYTE’s momentum following its €920 million in pre-orders for the SkyBus and SkyTruck, marking a significant step toward the future of sustainable air transport.

With governments in the UAE and Oman accelerating their AAM strategies—aligned with Vision 2040 and broader sustainability initiatives—LYTE Aviation is positioning its aircraft as transformative solutions for both passenger and cargo transport. The SkyBus, designed for high-capacity urban air mobility, and its cargo variant, the SkyTruck, capable of transporting 4.5 tons, are set to redefine regional connectivity and logistics.

LYNEports, a leader in aerodrome planning and design software, is set to play a pivotal role in developing efficient vertiport networks, while Bluenest, the AAM innovation arm of Globalvia, will focus on the operational management of vertiports to ensure seamless integration into urban environments. This collaboration is not only geared toward supporting LYTE’s aircraft but also fostering a broader ecosystem for automated air logistics and uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).

Freshta Farzam, CEO of LYTE Aviation, said, “We are currently engaged in discussions with several governments around the globe and collaborating with esteemed manufacturing partners and investors. The Middle East represents a significant opportunity for our SkyBus and SkyTruck, designed for regional ranges of up to 1000km, facilitating interconnectivity for mass passenger transport and net-zero cargo solutions. Our aircraft’s capability to operate from compact vertiports requiring only a 40m x 40m dimension, without the need for lengthy runways, enhances logistical flexibility and safety.”

Farzam added, “The UAE is advancing at a high speed with their plans for smart cities by using also 2-seater air taxis and we see this as a great opportunity for us to also add our larger 40-seater SkyBusses at the seat price of 39 US$ to the matrix. Same goes for Oman’s future vision 2040, our SkyTruck will enable net zero achievements in their logistics sector and allow their population to travel quicker and cheaper from point to point instead of 2h car journeys, to take our SkyBus and reach their destination within 30 min only. This is an absolute game changer for the hospitality and tourism industry, for government employees, for passenger mass transit in general and for cargo deliveries from door to door, like it has never been done before. And collaborating and being in full alignment with Bluenest by Globalvia and LYNEports, their vision, their expertise and their magnificent solutions, this partnership will allow us to accelerate the set up of our infrastructure in the most advanced, cost-effective and high quality ways, especially in countries that are ready to thrive and support the actual realization of AAM today.”

Rasha Alshami, LYNEports CEO & Founder, said, “LYTE Aviation’s ambitions align perfectly with our goal of designing and optimizing aerodromes that support emerging air mobility solutions. Our collaboration promises to create a sustainable infrastructure framework that will advance the region’s transportation landscape. LYNEports supports this vision by delivering the regulatory, environmental, and spatial intelligence required to develop infrastructure capable of accommodating this sort of new class of high-capacity, hybrid-hydrogen 40 seater eVTOL. Our software includes pre-integrated workflows that allow planners and authorities to design aerodromes with dedicated hydrogen fuel cell infrastructure and clear zoning buffers. This is a great opportunity for us to join forces here and co-create advanced infrastructure with Bluenest by Globalvia and LYTE Aviation.”

José Ignacio Rodriguez, Managing Director at Bluenest by Globalvia, added, “At Bluenest by Globalvia, we are committed to revolutionizing the way communities interact with advanced air mobility. Partnering with LYTE allows us to leverage innovative technology, ensuring that vertiports are not just infrastructure, but key enablers of a comfortable and efficient transport system for all citizens and cargo.

“Bluenest has designed over 30 types of vertiports, including large-scale vertiports for eVTOLs with sizes ranging from 12m to 30m, equipped with electrical recharging capabilities, including hydrogen fuel cells. Bluenest can effortlessly scale up our medium sized vertiports to accommodate larger eVTOLs designed for heavy cargo or passengers, by resizing the FATO, parking/recharge and terminal areas. This collaboration presents a significant opportunity with LYTE Aviation’s SkyBus and SkyTruck and lay the proper infrastructure for them in the future, starting with the Middle East.”

By working together, LYTE Aviation, LYNEports, and Bluenest are committed to delivering infrastructure solutions that align with the Middle East’s sustainability goals. Their efforts will help shape a greener, more connected future, ensuring that every SkyBus and SkyTruck deployment contributes to the evolution of smart, efficient, and eco-friendly air mobility.
