They have been tested in different environments, at high speeds and altitudes, and Joby has published in-depth studies of the aircraft’s acoustic signature and outwash profile based on real-world flight data.
As the company moves steadily toward commercial operations, Joby is more than halfway through the fourth stage of certification with the Federal Aviation Administration and has its sights set on scaling manufacturing of aircraft in both California and Ohio.
