Volocopter, a pioneer in sustainable urban air mobility (UAM), has partnered with air service provider Jet Systems Hélicoptères Services in an agreement to bring eVTOL aircraft services to France.

The long-term partnership between Volocopter and Jet Systems Hélicoptères Services is set to deliver two VoloCity eVTOL aircraft to France following certification by the European Union Aviation Safety Authority (EASA). Volocopter will provide its expertise in product development, maintenance, pilot training, and fleet management through VoloIQ, the company’s digital platform. On the other hand, Jet Systems will contribute its established knowledge in air service operations, managing personnel, pilots, and maintenance, while working closely with local cities and infrastructure partners to ensure smooth operations.

The initial services will launch in Paris, where a well-established network of eVTOL flight routes and infrastructure, backed by European and French aviation authorities, ensures the safe integration of these aircraft into the airspace. This collaboration benefits from years of groundwork with Groupe ADP and the French Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGAC), making the operational environment secure for eVTOLs. From Paris, the partnership will expand to the southwest and southeast regions of France, building on Jet Systems’ proven helicopter routes that currently serve up to 15,000 passengers annually.

Michel Moulin, CEO of Jet Systems Hélicoptères Services, said, “We are delighted to partner with Volocopter to offer safe, responsible, and environmentally friendly mobility solutions while minimizing the impact on local communities in Paris. Thanks to Volocopter’s expertise and its rigorously certified aircraft, users will be able to experience Paris from a new perspective and travel more efficiently. The JSHS teams have joined forces with Volocopter to provide our customers with an innovative service tailored to their needs, driven by a shared goal: customer satisfaction and environmental preservation.”

Andreas Fehring, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Volocopter, added, “We are excited to partner with Jet Systems and secure eVTOL operations in Paris, where we have invested our efforts for many years. With 75% of our EASA audits completed, Volocopter is close to and committed to achieving VoloCity’s EASA certification as soon as possible to meet our customers’ expectations and cities’ commitments to bring sustainable mobilities into service.”
