A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been established between the Advanced Air Mobility Institute and Sapienza University of Rome’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMA).

This strategic collaboration highlights a shared vision for pioneering research and innovation in next-generation air mobility systems.

The partnership aims to accelerate progress in the integration of cutting-edge aviation technologies, prioritizing resilience, operational optimization, and advanced risk management. By combining expertise in aerospace engineering and air mobility solutions, the institutions seek to address emerging challenges in the air transport sector through groundbreaking research, shared knowledge, and the development of innovative methodologies.

Through the MoU, the institutions will collaborate on research initiatives and educational programs, providing Sapienza’s vast student body of over 120,000 and its distinguished faculty with unparalleled opportunities to engage in cutting-edge projects.

Supported by the Advanced Air Mobility Institute’s resources and expertise, this partnership strengthens ties between academia, industry, and the dynamic field of AAM. Together, the organizations are dedicated to advancing the integration of aviation technologies into everyday applications, driving innovation for a connected future.

Professor Riccardo Patriarca, Scientific Coordinator at Sapienza University, highlighted the partnership’s potential to bridge academia and industry, “This partnership will enable our researchers and students to engage in transformative projects and develop practical solutions for the air mobility sector.
