Eve Air Mobility has revealed a significant development in the certification of its eVTOL aircraft.
The National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) has published the final version of the airworthiness criteria for Eve’s eVTOL.
This follows a period of public consultation, during which feedback was gathered to refine the criteria. The publication of the final airworthiness criteria is a critical stage in the type certification process for Eve’s eVTOL.
Luiz Valentini, Chief Technology Officer of Eve, said; “The publication of the final airworthiness criteria marks an important step towards the certification of our eVTOL.
“The feedback received during the public consultation phase was invaluable in refining these criteria. We are now looking forward to continue working closely with ANAC on Type Certification (TC) and the FAA on the simultaneous validation of the ANAC TC.”
Eve formalized the process for obtaining a Type Certificate for its eVTOL with ANAC in February 2022. The eVTOL certification process aligns with procedures for obtaining a “special class category” aircraft Type Certificate, adhering to airworthiness requirements outlined in the existing Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulations and other stipulated criteria.
Eve states the company will continue to mature the design and capabilities of its aircraft under a dedicated pursuit of efficiency, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology into the sector.
