EHang was recently invited to attend the Smart City Expo & Tomorrow Mobility World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem with Vertiports Network, a European vertiport infrastructure company, which designs and develops modular Urban Air Mobility (UAM) infrastructure and vertiport network operations.

Recently, EHang, as a representative of the world’s leading Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology companies, was invited by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to participate in the Smart City Expo and Tomorrow Mobility World Congress 2024 (the Congress) held in Barcelona, Spain. The congress is one of the most high-profile and largest smart city expos in the world, which brought together governments, enterprises, and research and innovation centers from various countries, to discuss the future of urban transportation and smart cities.

On the first day of the congress, Victoria Xiang, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of EHang Europe and Latin America, delivered a keynote speech How EHang leads the transformation of global UAM and the development of Low-Altitude Economy industry at the opening ceremony of the China Pavillion Open Forum. Victoria shared EHang’s world-leading technology, intelligence, innovative and environmentally-friendly UAM solutions, as well as its global flight and development footprint and experience with audiences from all over the world.

Ms. Victoria Xiang, COO of EHang Europe and Latin America, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the China Pavillion Open Forum.

During the congress, EHang signed a MoU with Vertiports Network, a vertiport infrastructure provider, which offers modular UAM physical and digital infrastructure solutions including UAM ticketing and eVTOL flight operations management through its proprietary operating system (VNOS) certified by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). The cooperation aims to integrate EHang’s EH216-S into its vertiports network ecosystem to jointly promote and develop the European UAM and low-altitude economy.

Victoria said; “We are pleased to support the development of UAM enterprises globally, by sharing EHang’s operational experience, capabilities and know-how within the industry. Through our collaboration, we will support Vertiports Network’s endeavors to develop and implement a holistic vertiport infrastructure solution and innovative services with EHang’s EH216-S pilotless eVTOL, allowing smart cities residents to benefit from its applications and uses in their daily lives.”

EHang’s EH216-S pilotless passenger eVTOL garnered great attention from government officials, business leaders, attendees and media representatives from around the world at the Congress.

Over the years, EHang has established strategic public-private partnerships with many European governments, public institutions and international industry leaders, and has deeply explored and developed the international market, by establishing a wide and strong international partnerships network, to jointly promote and develop the European and international UAM industry.
