The Advanced Air Mobility Institute’s Executive Vice President, Dr. Tracy L. Lamb, PhD, MBA, FRAeS, has accepted the position of Chief Safety & Quality Officer for Supernal in Irvine, California. 

Dr. Lamb brings an impressive 28-year career in commercial aviation as an operator, innovator, and business developer, with extensive expertise in aviation safety auditing, compliance, human factors, safety system integration, and safety data analytics.

Dr. Lamb is a thought leader and innovator committed to advancing the safety and operational excellence of the Advanced Air Mobility industry. From her PhD research, Dr. Lamb was dedicated to developing and providing an innovative safety management platform. Her extensive background encompasses ISO 9001, 31000, 41000, ISO BAO, BARS, and ICAO standards, exemplifying her multifaceted expertise. Until joining Supernal, Dr. Lamb spent two weeks a month flying as an international cargo airline pilot, operating Boeing 767-300 and 757-200 freighters in a crucial partnership with Amazon Prime.

Dr. Lamb’s industry leadership has earned her the prestigious Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) title, inclusion in the Hall of Fame for Women in Emerging Aviation Technologies, and the role of Vice Chair of the Board for the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA). She has won several industry awards for aviation program development and business excellence. She is also one of the few officially designated Subject Matter Experts in uncrewed aircraft safety and regulatory affairs by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Dr. Lamb said; “I am honored to join Supernal to lead the company’s safety and quality management programs. Safety is a prerequisite for all sectors of aviation, but it’s especially critical to building and maintaining public acceptance of AAM so it can achieve its fullest potential across a variety of beneficial mission profiles.”
