MIEEG and eVertiSKY have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of innovative vertiports.

The agreement aims to facilitate collaborative research and development (R&D) and explore possible business opportunities in the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and energy generation fields.

The collaboration between eVertiSKY and MIEEG aims to make it easier to enter the market and develop operations in the US, Europe, and other relevant countries by sharing their technological and infrastructural know-how. They will act as local references for each other and offer assistance, promoting cross-border cooperation initiatives and recognising potential harmonies in the UAM sector.

eVertiSKY is designing eco-sustainable vertiports and has identified MIEEG’s technology as a solution for both the self-production of hydrogen and the generation of electricity to recharge the drones that will be stationed on the vertiport.

This innovative model has the potential to significantly increase operational efficiency by reducing dependence on traditional power sources. The MoU will initiate a collaboration that aims at sustainable UAM operations, charting the way for a greener future in this branch of industry.

“This MoU marks an expansion for MIEEG’s development that, after drones, residences, supercars and boats, extends to Urban Air Mobility,” says Angelo Minotti, CEO and founder of MIEEG. “Our patented technology has a significant geographical reach, including the EU, the US, Canada, Israel, China, HK, Korea and Japan. This coverage represents over 2.7 billion people and about 70 percent of global GDP. We see our entry into the US market, where eVertiSKY has established a presence and institutional recognition, as an exciting new chapter. We are confident that this collaboration will result in a meaningful technology-commercial relationship.”

“By aligning eVertiSKY’s vision with MIEEG’s power generation technology, we have the potential to reimagine Urban Air Mobility infrastructure,” said Sandra Formenton, eVertiSKY’s CEO and founder. “This agreement will allow us to add MIEEG’s efficient, high-performance and sustainable solutions to the design of our vertiports. Together, we will work on research and development projects and business initiatives. Our goal is not only to change, but to become pioneers in the future of urban air mobility.”

“We are pleased to work with MIEEG, whose technology we believe will revolutionize the energy effectiveness of our project. As vertiports have high energy requirements, their sustainability poses a challenge we endeavor to resolve. At eVertiSKY, we aim to lead in developing the most efficient vertiports worldwide. With the help of MIEEG technology, we are confident we can attain comprehensive off-grid efficiency in the near future,” added Giuseppe Carusi, eVertiSKY’s founder and president.
