Aviation start-up VMIC has signed an agreement with Volatus Infrastructure to serve as its business development team in South Korea.

As part of the agreement, VMIC will help bring eVTOL infrastructure to South Korea to ensure they will be ready to support the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry.

Grant Fisk, Volatus Infrastructure Co-Founder, said: “I believe our partnership with VMIC will help push the industry forward. Bringing eVTOL infrastructure to new markets is critical. eVTOLs will be everywhere which means the infrastructure needs to be everywhere.”

Colin Nam, VMIC CEO, commented: “Working with Volatus Infrastructure to expand the vertiport business in South Korea is a significant first step in forming a foundation of the future UAM market here. The UAM-related market in Korea is expected to proliferate with various Korean government support. The vertiport business will play a critical role in the market.”
